Personal Data

• Special care is used to protect your data (name, phone, address, payment information, etc.).

• Only essential personal data is collected in the process of enrolling and establishing a safe teaching environment. To establish a family account, you will need to supply your family email address, phone number, home address, family name, and time zone. Students enrolling for courses will need to provide student names, email, and birth dates.

• All financial transactions are managed through secure third-parties, Paypal or Venmo. Learning CTR Online does not use any credit card or bank information. 

• Each year all “unused” family and student data records are deleted that are not associated with prior enrollment, financial or support interactions.

 

Academic Records 

Learning CTR Online retains academic records for each course taken by each student. These records are property of Learning CTR Online and are released only to the family or upon request of the family or adult student. Records requests made by schools without written email consent of the parent or adult student will not be fulfilled.

 

Support Records 

Records of all support interactions, for accountability, contract fulfillment, and quality management are retained. Those records have your email address and your general network location for time zone purposes. These records are not used to generate contact lists or user profiles.

 

Web Site Records

• Learning CTR Online web sites use cookies for their basic technical functioning, including to provide for user security. Cookies are used as minimally as possible and never to collect profiling data or to provide information to other parties.

• Learning CTR Online uses zoom as its video platform. Students can interact as the teacher allows. Any misuse or misbehavior during class sessions may result in removal from the class or course.

Monitoring and Recording 

Learning CTR Online sessions are monitored and may be recorded for security purposes. The classes may be recorded for students to review them, including only the academic portion of each class. Class recordings may be used as samples to potential customers, but without private information shared by students. Specific class samples may not be requested, but only those posted may be accessed.

Mailing List

Enrolled families and students are automatically added (subscribed) to the mailing list for that academic year only. This list is used to update families and students about Learning CTR Online events and courses. Families and students who are not enrolled in that academic year are automatically excluded (no action required) from the mailing list and will not receive email updates unless they have requested to remain subscribed. Any user may unsubscribe anytime, and Learning CTR Online is not responsible for any information missed through opting out of the mailing list.
